REGISTRATION & LOGIN

1. “ Eu não consigo aceder! Não sei porquê. O que devo fazer?


Para support [a.t] islcollective [d.ó.t] com e ajudá-lo-ei a entrar.

Normalmente, ser-lhe-á atribuída uma nova senha, o que resolve o problema.
No entanto, alguns utilizadores continuam a não conseguir entrar, mesmo com uma nova senha.

Neste caso existem duas possibilidades: o problema é causado por: 1) algumas definições do navegador 2) as configurações do PC (talvez firewall?) no seu computador.

Por favor, tente efetuar login em outro computador e / ou outro navegador em seu PC. Este passo resolveu o problema a utilizadores. Se todos os passos referidos falharem, pode tentar criar outra conta, mas eu duvido que ajude se as recomendações acima não ajudaram.

2. "Como faço para entrar, com o meu endereço de email ou nome de utilizador?"

Seu nome de utilizador (o primeiro campo vazio) e senha (o segundo campo vazio).


3. "Posso escolher um nome de utilizador composto por duas palavras separadas, por exemplo," Dancing Queen "?"

Não, nomes de utilizador tem que ser escritos como uma palavra, por exemplo,"Dancingqueen".


4. "Eu não consigo concluir o registo porque recebo uma mensagem de erro que diz "Nome de utilizador ou endereço de e-mail já se encontram registados. "E agora? "

Nomes de utilizador e endereços de e-mail de registro tem que ser únicos no nosso sistema. Se alguém já escolheu o nome de usuário que deseja, pode escolher um outro que seja semelhante, por exemplo, "ligia1 ', em vez de' ligia '.

5. "Durante o registro, por que tenho que provar que sou humano?"

Porque os spammers criaram softwares ('robôs') que poderiam registar-se no iSLCollective, assim como, enviar mensagens “spammy Viagra” para o fórum ou enviá-las para sua caixa de correio iSLCollective. Os quatro caracteres que precisa digitar são chamados de CAPTCHA.


6. "Eu digitei os 4 caracteres CAPTCHA, e o site diz-me que os digitei incorretamente, porém digitei-os corretamente, pelo menos 5 vezes. Não me qualifico como um ser humano?"

Um problema pode ser que a letra S e 8 são muito semelhantes. Então, por favor tente mais uma vez. Se você ainda estiver convencido de que o CAPTCHA não está a funcionar corretamente, por favor entre em contacto comigo em support [at] islcollective.com.


7. “ Posso mudar a minha senha?”

Sim, Vá para A minha página / Configurações (Certifique-se que está ligado, caso contrário não conseguirá aceder à sua página) e irá ver onde pode mudar a sua senha e o seu nome de usuário.


TRANSFERÊNCIAS

1. "As transferências são gratuitas?”

Sim, 100% gratuitas.


2. "Não tenho mesmo de pagar pelo material?”

Não. Mas é sempre agradável dizer `Obrigado ´quando transfere alguma coisa. Lembre-se de que existem pessoas reais atrás de cada ficha trabalho e que investiram muito tempo e trabalho para disponibilizar o material que precisa para as suas aulas amanhã. Também sei que poderá não ter muito tempo disponível, mas clicar no botão “Obrigado” mesmo abaixo de cada transferência apenas lhe tomará um segundo, além de que será a única forma de nos mostrar que somos apreciados e não apenas utilizados.


3. "Algum limite de transferências?"

Não.


4. "Posso ver muito trabalho investido nestes recursos. Em troca do que tenho transferido gostaria de contribuir com alguma coisa. Existe algo que eu possa fazer?”

Sim. O mais importante: contribuir com uma ficha. Mesmo uma pequena contribuição fará a diferença. Construímos este site pouco a pouco, ficha por ficha: Se alguma vez criou alguma, o mais provável é que sim, então partilhe-a connosco e dessa maneira estará a beneficiar todos os usuários do site.


5. "Porque todos os ficheiros são em formato docx? Nem todos conseguem abri-los.”

Apoiamos ficheiros docx porque muitos usuários utilizam o novo MS Word, onde este é o formato por defeito. Se utiliza uma versão mais antiga, tente instalar um pacote de compatibilidade, para o word, do Microsoft Office. Pode descarrega-lo a partir daqui. Isto solucionará , decerto, o seu problema. Pode ainda ir a zamzar.com onde pode converter o formato docx em doc.


CARREGAMENTO / ENVIO E EDIÇÃO

1. "O que posso carregar/ enviar?"

A regra é: envie apenas material de SUA AUTORIA! Não envie páginas, imagens ou textos de outros sites relacionados com o ensino e aprendizagem da língua portuguesa, nem publicações (manuais, gramáticas, ou manuais de recursos para professores). Por favor, leia também as nossas regras de carregamento/ envio para melhor entende-las.


2. "Qual é limite de tamanho das fichas / documentos?"

O limite para documentos doc é de 2 megabytes, e para ppt 25MB.


3. "Como posso editar ou reenviaras minhas fichas?"

Vá para a sua própria página de fichas de trabalho (certifique-se que está ligado e identificado) e clique em “ Editar Ficha” em baixo do botão descarregar. Ao clicar será redirecionado para uma outra página onde poderá editar as etiquetas das suas fichas. Certifique-se que guarda as alterações clicando no botão “ Guardar” na parte inferior da página. Pode também reenviar uma versão atualizada da ficha (encontre na parte inferior da página “ Reenviar”).

4. "E se os meu ficheiro/ documento é maior do que o limite estipulado?"

Se a sua ficha exceder os limites, pode diminuir o seu tamanho comprimindo as imagens da mesma com a ajuda de um editor de imagens. Atualmente, só conseguimos lidar com documentos de formato doc/docx e ppt/pptx ( Microsoft Word e PowerPoint). Se tiver fichas em qualquer outro formato, pode capturar o seu conteúdo através do botão printscreen do seu teclado, copiar e colar o mesmo em um documento MS Word ou PowerPoint.


5. "Não consigo carregar documentos/ fichas de trabalho. Estou a fazer aldo de errado?"

Se está com problemas relacionados com o carregamento de documentos ou encontrou qualquer erro, por favor informe-nos em support [at] islcollective.com e faremos o possível para os resolver o mais rapidamente possível. Note que quantos mais detalhes nos der sobre o problema que está a ocorrer maior será a possibilidade de o resolvermos.


FUNÇÕES DO SITE

1. "Como posso entrar em contato com outros utilizadores?"

Clicando no pequeno símbolo em forma de envelope. Pode encontrá-lo perto da imagem do utilizador (avatar), independentemente da posição destes, por exemplo: no fórum ou perto do carregamento de ficheiros. Ou, pode ainda dirigir-se à “ Página de utilizadores” onde poderá encontrar a pessoa que gostaria de contatar. Uma vez mais, verá o envelope perto da sua imagem de usuário (avatar)


SUPPORTING MEMBERSHIP

1. "What can I do as a free user?"

You can download any of teaching resources you find on the site free of charge. As for the etiquette of downloading free, it's nice to say 'Thank you!'. There are real people behind each worksheet who had worked hours to give you what you need for tomorrow's class. I know you might be in a rush but clicking the "Thank you" button or even better, writing a nice comment, means a great deal to any author, because it tells us we are appreciated.


2. "Any download limits?"

After 50 consecutive downloads a day, we'll throw up a captcha to stop programs from systematically downloading our complete database (we've had such attempts in the past).

1. "Can I choose a user name consisting of two separate words, e.g. "Dancing
Queen"?"

No, user names have to be writte as one word, e.g. "Dancingqueen."


2. "How can I change my password?"

Yes, go to MyPage/Settings (make sure you're logged in, otherwise you can't access your MyPage) and you will see where to change your password. Or if you can't log in, you can click here to get a link in email that allows you to choose a new password and log in immediately.


3. "Can I change my user name?"

Sorry, user names belonging to an existing account cannot be changed.


HOW TO REGISTER AND LOG IN



  1. If anyone finds it easier, they can sign up (register) as a first time user with their Facebook or Google account. It will be a relief for those internet users (like me) who are tired of registering for every new service they try out and prefer to use their social accounts to get into a site with one click.
  2. Users can, of course, still sign up with their email address, and for them we made sign-up much easier. It's enough to fill in 4 fields, and that's it. You don't have to type in your password twice as before. The reason for confirming a password is because the letters of the typed in password are turned into dots for security reasons, so you can't see what you're typing. Instead, now you only have to type in your password once, and if you want to check whether you typed it correctly, you can just click on the eye icon on the right of the password field (click it again to turn it back to dots). We also got rid of the former horrible CAPTCHA (anti-bot protection) and replaced it with Google's new user-friendly one where you just have to check in a box saying you're not a robot.



LOG IN FOR EXISTING USERS
  1. You can log into iSLCollective with your Facebook or Google account, which is really simple. During the first login we'll ask you to connect your existing account with your Facebook or Google account by providing your user name and password. From the second login, it will literally take just one click to get into the site in this way.
  2. You can still log in with your iSLCollective user name/password combination as usual and it should work fine. If you forgot your password, you can click on the "Forgot your password" link. Then you can tell us your email address (the one that you registered with), and we will email you a link where you can set a new password of your own choosing, and you will get in immediately without our help. If you recall, previously we generated a code for you, but it still didn't get a lot of people into the site, and we got tons of email from desperate users. So this will be a much better solution, since everyone who clicks on the Forgot Password link will get into the site after doing the above simple process. All you need is to find our email in your inbox (please note that emails can sometimes end up in your spam folder, so make sure you also check there).





IF YOU CAN'T LOGIN:


Let us give you some more general tips for successful login:

1. First of all, let's clarify one thing, because not everyone seems to understand this: REGISTER FREE is for first-time users. Anyone who wants to download our worksheets, needs to register (=sign up) here. If you're an existing user you need to click on the much smaller "Login" link.




If you try to log in, and get an error message like the one below, that's because you went to REGISTER FREE, and trying to log in on the page which is for people who don't have an iSLCollective account yet. Clues that you are in the wrong place is the welcome message ("Welcome, first-time users") and the caption on the buttons ("sign up"). (BTW, why should you tell us your email address and country again, and accept to our Terms of use every time you log in?) Naturally, when you input your user name, you will get an error message because new users are not allowed to choose a user name that someone else has. On the other hand, if you click on the FB or Google options, we will recognize you as an existing user, and will log you in.




2. OK, so let's suppose you went to the Login page. You want to log in (=sign in) with your user name and password combo, but can't because some data you entered isn't right. Maybe it's the user name. First, think about whether you are really inputting your iSLCollective user name. Some people think they have to input their real name, while others believe their user name is their email address. No. Your user name is your nickname you chose when you registered on iSLCollective, like mine: kisdobos.

Maybe it's the password you're getting wrong. Perhaps you've just mistyped it. Click on the eye icon on the right of the password to see what you've typed.

3. If there was a problem with your user name or password, we will load a page where you can try to enter them again, or try to log in with your Facebook or Google account.



4. Or you can ask to be sent a link that allows you to save a new password for yourself. Please note the email address that you need to send us is the one that you registered with on iSLCollective (this is the main reason why we ask for your email address upon registration - to be able to send you this new password link). So we find your existing iSLCollective account based on your email address, and use the same email address to send you the new password link. You receive this link to your email inbox (this time, really). If you don't, it must have landed in your spam (junk) folder. This is what the email looks like:




5. You click on the link, and it takes you to an iSLCollective page where you can choose and save a new password for yourself. You will see your user name and email address The password has to be minimum 6 characters long, because shorter passwords are weak and can be hacked with powerful computers. We also suggest you use Capital letters and numbers, too. To be on the safe side, I suggest checking what you've typed by clicking on the eye icon. (I'm not gonna help you with what to do with the empty checkbox that says "I'm not a robot" because robots may be reading this. :) Click the blue "Log in" button to save your new password and log in to iSLCollective.

ABOUT THE FREE TEACHING RESOURCES HOSTED ON THE SITE


1. "What kind of resources can I find on the site?"

Most of our files are MS Word doc and docx files, and a smaller portion are powerpoint files (ppt and pptx). A relatively new format is Teaching tips, which you can type in and share under the CREATE menu.

2. "What kind of resources can I find on the site?"Why are some of the worksheets docx type? Not everybody can open them."

We support docx files because a lot of people use the new MS Word, where this is the default format. If you use an older version, try installing the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word. You can download it for free here. This will surely solve your problem. Or go to zamzar.com where you can convert the docx file into doc format online.




SUPPORTING MEMBERSHIP VS FREE ACCOUNTS


1. "What can I do as a free user?"

I know you might be in a rush but clicking the "Thank you" button or even better, writing a nice comment r detailed recommendation, means a great deal to any author, because it tells us we are appreciated.

3. "Why should I become a Supporting Member?"

We operate the site using the income from Supporting membership fees. This is a great way to say Thank you to our staff and help us continue our mission to provide free language teaching materials this year.
In return for supporting us, you will see no ads during your Supporting membership period.


4. "Is it safe to pay on your site?"

Yes, it is as safe as it gets.


5. What is the payment process with PayPal?


The PayPal process
You can use this option even if you don’t have a PayPal account, but you want to use your bank card. You need to take three steps:
  1. You select your Supporting Membership period on the fundraiser page, and click on the Paypal button.
  2. On the next page you have to choose whether you need a detailed invoice or not (if you check in this box, some new fields will show up and you’ll be asked to provide your personal details so we can make out your invoice). There is another checkbox that says “Please publish my name on the public list of supporting members.” If you check in that box, your name will be listed on the list, and the caption "Supporting member" will be shown above your large size avatar.
  3. If you click on the “Pay now” button, you will be redirected to PayPal's secure site to make the payment. There you need to log in to your PayPal account, or if you don’t have one, provide your bank card details. Once your amount arrives to the iSLCollective bank account (it’s typically a matter of max half a minute), your iSLCollective account will be automatically upgraded to a Supporting Member account, and you will no longer see ads on the site.


6. "Can I pay via Western Union?"

Sorry, no. You can pay with PayPal or your debit/credit card. Our payment partner for the latter is CCBill.com.


8. "Can I get a refund if I don't like the Supporting Membership?"

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis by our Support Team. If you have a refund request, please get in touch with us at info [at] islcollective [dot] com.

9. "You said that I can get priority support if I have a technical problem. How can I contact you?"

Please go to your MyPage/History-support and write to us using the contact field there. On weekdays, Supporting Members are entitled to priority support, meaning that we will respond within 24 hours of receiving your mail. If you contact us on Friday, we may get back to you on the next Monday.

Last, but not least, we operate the site using the income from selling Supporting memberships. So your reason for ugrading your account to Supporter may simply be to say Thank you to our staff and help us continue our mission to provide free language teaching materials.
